Designed for everyone

Every aspect of the Theatre design has been carefully considered based on the advice of theatre experts, stakeholder feedback and research of similar theatres across Australia.

The Patron Experience

No matter where you sit, you’ll have the best seat in the house. Just sit back, relax and enjoy your favourite show in this beautiful auditorium.

The curved, golden timber walls and deep red tones of the main theatre will create a warm, intimate experience.

Seats have been chosen for comfort, aesthetics, acoustics, safety and durability. Aisle seats with hinged arms will make seating easier for patrons with limited mobility.

Hearing augmentation will include both a hearing loop in the floor and a radio frequency system with portable transmitters with headphones, if needed.

The Performer Experience

Whether you are an actor, singer, dancer, comedian or musician stepping on to this stage and into the spotlight will be an experience to be cherished.

The shape of the Theatre and the seating configuration will enhance engagement between the performers and audience. The large stage and wings are designed for operational excellence, and performances of all sizes and scales. The wing design will provide a comfortable space for performers as well as accommodating large sets.

The orchestra pit will accommodate up to 28 musicians, plus equipment and instruments. It is easy to access via the lower ground floor, which also has a warm-up space and amenities for musicians and performers.

The Production Team Experience

Stage crews, technicians and production support people will be able to create the ultimate experience for performers and patrons, and deliver a highly successful production.

The modern back of house facilities, amenities and technical systems are designed for ease of operation, efficiency and safety.

A state-of-the-art audio system controlled from the rear of the auditorium will allow the technician to mix for the artist and the enjoyment of patrons.

There is also a full fly tower, dressing rooms to accommodate large casts, and a loading dock with great access to the Theatre stage.
