This intimate evening showcases jazz classics and selections from celebrated film scores that started life on the silver screen. The stunning vocals of award-winning musical theatre star Alinta Chidzey are accompanied by an ensemble of Melbourne’s most accomplished jazz musicians and members of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra & Orchestra Victoria.

In Jazz and the Silver Screen, Hook Turn Orchestra melds the worlds of jazz and the classical concert hall, whilst reinventing much-loved classics and under-appreciated film score masterpieces. The show features toe-tapping tunes from Puttin’ on the Ritz, to Somewhere Over the Rainbow and all the way to Joni Mitchell’s masterpiece, Both Sides Now.

Experience iconic songs that will fill you with nostalgia, in what promises to be a magical evening in the theatre.
